Group VP of Marketing

We are looking for Group VP Marketing to working for a highly successful and innovative Fintech. You will be able to define the global marketing strategy as well as researching the integrated marketing and demand generation plans. After defining and executing the plans, you will define, and measure the goals for the demand generation programs, always with the view on improvements. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a company-wide marketing strategy in line with our core values (including areas such as PR, Digital, Social media, Brand and eCRM)
  • Brand architecture
  • Developing creative briefs
  • Digital marketing, building direct consumer databases, partnering with agencies and budget management.  
  • Setting and delivering on a clear marketing strategy to build the brand and activate sales in the UK and all other markets that GPS operates in, both offline and online. While leading and building a highly skilled marketing and communications team.
  • Translating the company’s business objectives, market opportunities and offerings into a cohesive domestic and international marketing and communications strategy that drives revenue growth and reinvigorates the brand across markets
  • Designing and delivering team operational plans with budgets, forecasts, activities and targets that are credible, achievable and appropriate.
  • Managing and coaching the Marketing team
  • Implementing a customer acquisition strategy to drive leads, retention and increase brand presence. Using strategies such as events, generate website traffic, social media
  • Overseeing and implementing customer engagement strategy including events, webinars and PR initiatives
  • Project managing marketing activities
  • Ensuring internal communications are on brand that help shape the GPS tone.
  • Supporting the Financial market marketing / building of company deck for investment purposes
  • Owning the company brand and any rebranding associated both internally and externally
  • Overseeing product collateral and launches
  • Overseeing PR - Brand profile and reputation (Knowledge Articles, Press Releases, Award Entries, Conference Speaking slots)
  • Creating feedback loops on the competitive landscape and providing insights to Product and Sales

Skills, Ability and Experience

  • Significant experience in B2B marketing in Technology, FS or Payments
  • Attention to detail in improving key marketing metrics and making data-driven decisions
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO and PPC
  • Experience of social media, print and e-mail campaigns
  • Proven ability to multi task and prioritise under pressure
  • The ability to think strategically while implementing tactically (while balancing sales and marketing needs).

                                                                                                                             

  • In-depth understanding of sales - what drives salespeople, how to communicate with them and drive results
  • Strong marketing execution skills across key functions including Demand Generation
  • Direct Marketing, Events, Marcom, PR, and Web
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Hubspot is preferred but not essential
  • The ability to speak a second European Language is preferred but not essential
  • Relevant degree level qualifications in Marketing
